Visitors who come to Bacolod to join the MassKara Festival for pleasure can also mix it with business.
While merrymaking happens in the streets and restos, entrepreneurs and businessmen can also mix business with pleasure by attending the MassKara City at the SMX Convention Center.
The 2nd Bacolod Trade and Tourism Expo and Conferences will run for three days with each day having a special focus of its own. The first day, October 16 is about Environment Friendly Businesses. The second day, October 17, about Digital Businesses, and the third day, October 18, about Handicraft MSMEs.
Organizer, Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue says, "For the last 11 years, to attract investments to Bacolod and Negros Occidental in various sectors, mostly IT, I have attended countless trade expositions and conferences in Manila, Cebu, Davao, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, US and various places. I keep on dreaming that someday - we can have our own brand of Expo in Bacolod. I started with ICT Expo in 2005 and the Health and Wellness Expo in 2009, eventually this year, we ventured into the Creative Conferences. Last year, I was inspired to push for a bigger exposition because finally we have a big convention facility. This year is the second year. I pray for my city and province - that its people will share my vision. The goal of the expo is to provide a platform for B2B and B2C linkages for local traders and a chance for international firms to sit and engage the local stakeholders, for various sectors to come together."
Top flight speakers are in line for the various conferences lined up.
